Cup of Agronomy Series Returns for 2026

Farmers are invited to join Peterson this winter for the return of the Cup of Agronomy series: local, coffee-shop-style meetings built for practical, no-nonsense agronomic conversations.
Cup of Agronomy is a series of informal workshops designed for farmers who like their agronomic insights as strong as their coffee. These sessions are intentionally small, local and discussion-driven, creating space for real questions, shared experiences and practical takeaways.
What sets Cup of Agronomy apart is its local focus
Every discussion is rooted in what our team has actually seen across our territory over the last three growing seasons—from weather patterns and field variability to hybrid performance, management challenges and trends that continue to show up year after year. This isn’t theory or national talking points—it’s agronomy shaped by local fields and real outcomes.
Each event will feature regional agronomists who work directly in the territory where the meeting is held. These are the same agronomists who spend the season walking fields, checking plots and working one-on-one with growers in that area, bringing firsthand insight that’s relevant to local conditions.
“Our goal with Cup of Agronomy is to share what we’re truly seeing in the field and talk through what it means for growers,” said Rick Swenson, corn product manager at Peterson. “By keeping these meetings local and led by agronomists who know the area, we can have more meaningful conversations that help farmers plan with confidence.”
All Cup of Agronomy events are free and open to the public, and no RSVP is required. Farmers are encouraged to bring their questions—and a friend or neighbor—for an open, engaging discussion.
